The Art of Tour made its second stop at The Beacham in Orlando yesterday. This all ages show had kids as well as their parents singing along. It was an evening of great pop-punk music.
New York natives and first time visitors to Florida, Crash The Party, was a great opening act. They may have had a small technical issue, but they made use of that time by connecting with the audience by cracking a few cheesy jokes. CTP’s sound is pure pop-punk. It’s great upbeat music for any occasion. They even surprised everyone by covering the inescapable Frozen track ‘Let it Go.’
Next to take the stage was This Century. They may have gone through a recent lineup change last month, but they didn’t let that effect their live show at all. Their semi influenced country pop punk sound is always a crowd pleaser. Especially with songs like ‘Bleach Blonde’ and ‘Slow Dance Night’ that had the crowd singing every last word.
Headliner We The Kings ended the night right. After member changes and even a move toward a new sound the band still knows how to put on a great show. They started off their set with a new song and followed it with longtime fan favorite ‘Skyway Avenue.’ If you were wonder how has this Florida band changed over the years, but yet kept up their fan base the answer is simple. They know how to make great music that keeps people moving and wanting more. They played ‘I Like It’, a song off their latest release ‘Somewhere Somehow’, and it is clear that this pop punk group is going to be moving with the trends in today’s popular music.
Overall the show was simply pop-punk-tastic. If you missed the show the tour will be ending back here in Florida. They will be in Gainesville on the 28th Pensacola on the 29th.
